Deep behemoth
Deep behemoth is a great figure of the dreaming sea, the largest shape a mage of Reverie can call. The mage casts Summon deep behemoth, and out of the Welter it rises, scaled and endless, like a coastline that has decided to move.
The sea's depths it rises from are not Deopa's Deep, and it is not one of Deopa's creatures. It is a shape called out of the Welter, held by what the kingdom pays: a heavy upkeep in geld and mana both. Stop paying and it is dismissed. Its bulk also weighs heavily in heaven's reckoning of the kingdom's Weight.
It crushes what is near, spits poison at what is far, strikes again, and lasts. Beasts fare worst against it. Bloom, the affinity of beasts, lies across the ring from Reverie, and the two repel each other.
Reverie cultivators say it is the dream the sea has of its own bottom, where no light has ever reached.
