Bear shifter
Bear shifter is one of the two-shaped folk of the Bloom forests, affinity-born where Bloom runs strong. In battle they wear the bear's shape: great, slow to fall, and heavy enough in the paw to split armour.
A Sealborn calls them with Summon bear shifter. They eat well and are paid in geld as well as mana, and their lord may release them back to the forest at will.
They are often mistaken for their wilder cousins, Wolf shifter. The wolf-folk carry no affinity. The bear-folk carry Bloom, and they are proud of it. The bear, they say, is the shape the forest gives to those who guard it. The wolf is the shape of those who only roam it.
