Summon spirit medium
Summon spirit medium is a simple summoning of Lumen, the affinity of order, law, light and protection that Daegred, the Sunward holds. It calls Spirit medium to serve the caster's own kingdom; it cannot be cast into anyone else's. The call takes turns as well as mana, held open until the shape answers.
Cultivators argue about whom these speakers speak for. Those of Lumen say they voice the quiet order of the Covenant itself. Those of Umbra laugh at that. They say the speakers only listen at Deopa's threshold, where the natives' dead have lodged against the underside of the Hallow since the Breaking. Both are beliefs, and the speakers answer the Lumen call either way.
More answer as the caster's realm deepens; the card shows how many. A core of another affinity calls them at greater cost, with more failure and fewer answering. Every Turning a Sealborn must recover the spell by research. A Human lord cannot summon by casting at all.
